The park of the Antonine Baths in Carthage is, in fact, an archaeological area enclosing a great many vestiges from different periods, essentially Roman and Byzantine.
To visit the site, the author invites us to take cardo XVI : this is how Mrs Ferjaoui Weber has chosen, with the help of the plan of Carthage and the Roman cadastral plan, to plunge us directly into the logic of the ancient urban grid. The various stops on the way provide the opportunity for explanations on the architecture, the lifestyle, the beliefs and the events of the past; similarly, we are introduced to a number of art or utilitarian objects discovered on the spot and deposited in the different museums.
