| The Mago quarter: situated on the shore, not far south of the famous Antonine Baths, the piece of land was the last to have escaped urbanisation. Excavations brought to light the only visible part of the Carthage walls dating to the end of the VIth or early Vth century BC, with its foundation blocks, each weighing more than 13 tons, as well as the traces of a postern next to the first bastion and the casemates added in the IVth century BC.

The remains of houses dating to the Punic period were also found in the state they were when the city was destroyed by the Roman armies, Houses dating to the Roman period were also found.
